Von Stiehl Winery has a fantastic red wine called Naughty Girl
And I tried a new beer this weekend called Kentucky Ale. A bourbon barrel brew that tasted like none other - caramel butter maybe? Fantastic! You have to try both

Fun list! I recognize the Columbia Crest Merlot and the Yellow Tail (obvs), but none of the others. I think I've maybe heard of the Starborough. I know we've got the Snowqualmie Riesling at work, but not the Merlot - I'll have to track that down, though, because I love the concept of a naked Merlot.

Dude. Schlafly. I heart them so hard. They're pretty much incapable of doing wrong in my eyes.

Try Electra from Quady...the RED one...it's dessert in a glass and one of my favorites. Plus it has an awesome label.

Also...what about trying some of the Missouri wineries? I like some of the St. James wines...the Pink Catawba and Friendship School White wont kill you, promise. I double dare you to try some of their fruitier ones! (just be sure to get pics of your mom and dad trying them for me)

Oh man, that beer sounds fascinating. I'd be all over that like butter on bread.

I'm visiting the moment I can scrape monies together - there are several people in your fine city I need to imbibe with. Also: epic Goose Island trip.

Oh...lame. I just discovered that they do not distribute south of IL. However, I think this is the perfect thing to justify that February visit you promised me and have not yet delivered on. Or a March visit. I'm not picky.
